What should I do if the MW2 host is rate-limited?
Wait before another attempt rather than repeatedly refreshing. A host's rate limit is not a GPU bottleneck, and lowering resolution cannot remove it. Once the player becomes available, establish whether the issue is loading, local frame rate or multiplayer delay.
What browser checks should I try for MW2?
Keep the game tab visible and pause other games or video. If Chrome Energy Saver is active, compare with it off while plugged in; restore it if there is no benefit. Change one thing at a time and repeat the same scene. Export any available save backup before clearing site data or switching browser profiles.
